Sid Davies and the Countess of Dufferin at Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Countess of Dufferin was Western Canada's first steam locomotive. It was built on February 2nd, 1872 and served on the Northern Pacific Railway for five years before migrating to Canada from the United States on October 9, 1877.
