Years ago, the oil company’s gave these maps away free to their customers.  All that stopped 25 or 30 years ago and those maps have become collector’s items.  The listings below are organized by the issuing oil company and by date of issue.  Discounts are offered for multiple item purchases.  European Maps, U.S.G.S. ·        “Old” Conoco Highway Map of Nebraska.  12 panels, scale is 1” = about 19 miles.  A previous owner said this is a 1931 map, but the date is not shown on the map.  It does show the population of Omaha as 221,429, providing a clue.  Good condition with a minor separation at one the folds.

  • Ca. 1915 Geological Map of Wisconsin Showing Artesian and Elevations of the Pre-Cambrian prepared by Samuel Weidman.  It measures 21” x 24”, folded with repairable separations at many of the folds.  Otherwise, it’s intact and in very good condition for its age.   The map is very detailed, showing a great many small towns and all the major and most minor railroad lines.
